Opportunity Scholarship Act

OSA S-1872

GOOD for New Jersey.  GOOD for tax payers.  GOOD for schools.

GOOD for parents.  GOOD for our children.

New Jersey has one of the highest tax burdens of any state in the nation.  It spends more per student in school costs than almost any other state.  Yet, many schools in the state get failing grades.  We can do better.

The Opportunity Scholarship Act will help public school districts in New Jersey improve failing schools.  It will empower the parents of children in failing schools to choose public or non-public schools that will best serve the needs of their children.

And, unlike vouchers, the program is funded by corporate tax credits.  No payments are made from the government to non-public schools or directly to parents.  Also, there’s no added burden to taxpayers.  The Scholarship Act will benefit all New Jerseyans, but most of all, our children.  To find out more, see:

FROM THE OFFICE OF ADVANCEMENT

Mrs. Julie Roche, Director

It was wonderful seeing so many families attend the Cape Trinity Catholic Open House recently held in St. Ann’s auditorium.  Families were able to order the new uniform, see the plans for our new location, and meet their children’s teachers.

The auditorium was buzzing with activity as the two school communities of St. Ann and Our Lady Star of the Sea came together for the day in anticipation of what is to be in September.

Flynn & O’Hara will return for uniform measuring and ordering on Tuesday, July 13 from 10:00 to 12:00 in our new location at 1500 Central Avenue in North Wildwood.  In the meantime, feel free to order online at www.flynnohara.com.  The school code for Cape Trinity Catholic is NJ731.

GOT MASS?

How families pull off weekly Mass

·         No exceptions:  Families that make it to Mass each Sunday often don’t even consider making an exception unless someone is seriously ill.  No matter what the week looks like, go to Mass.

·         Grave cause:  When you think you have a reason not to go to Mass, ask yourself, “Is this a grave cause?”  There’s something about the word “grave” that will probably nudge you to answer, “Not really.”

·         Spiritual health:  Keep focused on building the spiritual health of your family in the same way you’re focused on physical health.

Congratulations
