The Parent-Student Handbook

TUITION – FEES (GRADES K-8)

as of 3/04/09 for the 2009-2010 School Year

The Diocese of Camden has open enrollment.  Catholic families may choose the Catholic school they wish their child (children) to attend.  The Catholic tuition rate is for families using the parish envelopes of the parish in which they are registered and who support the school’s PTA activities.

Student Registration Fee:  
Each Child
 $100.00

The yearly $100 registration fee is non-refundable.
If a child transfers mid-year, tuition is prorated on a monthly basis.

 
TWO METHODS OF TUITION PAYMENT
1. Payment in full August 1
2.

Ten monthly payments: 

SMART Program August through May
       

If a student transfers with an outstanding tuition obligation, academic records will be withheld until the obligation is met.

All tuition must be paid prior to graduation.  Students with outstanding debts may not participate in graduation ceremonies.  June reports will not be issued to students with outstanding debts.

A tuition contract is for one year only and there is no promise of reenrollment for future years.

UNIFORMS: 
Uniforms are required for all students and all items are to be labeled.  Full uniform is to be worn from the first day of school until the end of the school year.  Parents are to see that their children adhere to the uniform policy.  This is important to the overall discipline and spirit of the school.  All uniform items are available through:

GIRLS:    KINDERGARTEN to 5
  Plaid jumper – of appropriate length
White turtleneck or white Peter Pan collar blouse - long or short sleeves.
Plain navy knee socks or tights. All socks are to be worn in an appropriate manner.  They may not be worn inside shoes
Optional:  navy cardigan sweater.
Summer uniform: Navy skort; white golf shirt
   
GIRLS:  GRADES 6-7-8
  Navy skort - of appropriate length.  This skort must be purchased at Flynn and O’Hara..
White turtleneck or white button down collar blouse: long or short sleeves
Plain navy knee socks or tights. All socks are to be worn in an appropriate manner.  They may not be worn inside shoes
Optional:  navy with white trim V-neck pullover or navy cardigan
Hair is to be neat and well groomed; extreme styles are to be avoided.
One pair of small pierced earrings is permitted.
No make-up, nail polish, acrylic or press-on nails or ostentatious and/or expensive jewelry is to be worn.
No wrist jewelry – exception a watch.
   
BOYS:  KINDERGARTEN – 6
  Navy pants
White golf shirt - long or short sleeves
Navy socks. All socks are to be worn in an appropriate manner.  They may not be worn inside shoes
Optional – navy cardigan sweater or vest.
Summer option: navy shorts.
   
BOYS:  Grades 7-8
Khaki pants
White oxford shirt - long or short sleeves
Tie – navy, gold & red stripe
Navy socks. All socks are to be worn in an appropriate manner.  They may not be worn inside shoes
Optional – navy with white trim V-neck pullover or V-neck sweater vest
Summer option: khaki shorts – white golf shirt.
Hair is to be well groomed, above the eyebrow, and no longer than the collar. Extreme styles are not permitted. Jewelry may be not worn.

All students: blouses/shirts are to be tucked inside uniforms at all times

 
GYM UNIFORM:
  For all students grades Pre-K through 8
Hunter green Tee shirt and shorts.  Hunter green sweat shirt and pants
   
UNIFORM SHOES:
  BOYS:  Navy or Black–Tie – Heel no more than ½ inch; 
No open end/shoe. No high top sneakers.
GIRLS:  Navy or Black – Tie – Buckle or Velcro –
Sole no higher than ½ inch; No open end or open toe.
   
Winter Uniform:                    
November 1 – April 30.
  Summer Uniform:                 
Opening of School – October 31
May 1 – Close of School
   
  VISITORS:     
 

St. Ann Regional School is locked during the school day.  Please use the door on Magnolia Avenue, which is equipped with a doorbell and release.  No one may go to a classroom without the permission of the Principal.  While parents are always welcome in school, they are not to stop at classrooms to speak with teachers when class is about to begin, in session, or about to end.

   
  VOLUNTEERS:     
 

St. Ann Regional School welcomes volunteers who may assist in the following ways: milk sale, hot lunch preparation, cafeteria and yard monitor, teacher assistant, room parent, stationery salesperson, library assistant.  Anyone interested in performing any of these services call 522-2704, to be fingerprinted and attend CAP (Child Assault Prevention) training.
